SIGNED A DECREE APPROVING “AZERBAIJAN 2030: NATIONAL PRIORITIES FOR SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT”.
On February 2, 2021, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree approving “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development”.
In the coming years, a successful relations between society, business and the state will be strengthened for the long-term sustainable and rapid development of our country. Effectively managing the role of the state in the economy through market reforms, strengthening private property institutions, business-friendly governance, and further liberalizing trade regimes to expand access to local products in foreign markets will be key drivers of economic growth.
The following five national priorities for the country's socio-economic development should be implemented in the next decade:
1. steadily growing competitive economy;
2. a society based on dynamic, inclusive and social justice;
3. Competitive human capital and space for modern innovations;
4. Great return to the liberated territories;
5. Clean environment and green growth country.
These national priorities are also of particular relevance to the fulfillment of the commitments arising from the United Nations “Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”.
The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan: In accordance with the National priorities approved by part 1 of the order, will prepare and submit to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan a draft "Strategy of socio-economic development for 2021-2025" within nine months;
When preparing a project, there will be effective cooperation with leading international organizations and specialized consulting companies, the participation of relevant government bodies (institutions), scientific organizations, specialists and civil society institutions.
