A NEW INDUSTRIAL PARK WILL BE ESTABLISHED IN AGHDAM
According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 28, 2021, it is planned to establish an industrial park in the liberated Aghdam region.
The priority directions of the Aghdam Industrial Park are following:
• production of construction materials;
• packaging of agricultural products;
• production and processing of canned fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy products, feed, fertilisers;
• service areas, etc.
Entrepreneurs show great interest in the Aghdam Industrial Park. Five business entities have already been registered as residents of the park. The Agency for the Development of Economic Zones currently considers more than ten projects submitted by entrepreneurs. Production of ventilation, fire-fighting equipment and hardware, production of concrete, repair of heavy equipment and related restoration and production of some metal parts, and orthopaedic mattresses and upholstered furniture (sofas and armchairs), sewerage and drinking water pipes, etc. are the main activities for submitted projects.
