ENTREPRENEURSHIP INSPECTIONS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FOR 2 YEARS
The Parliament of Azerbaijan Republic (Milli Mejlis) passed the law “On Suspension of Entrepreneurial Inspections” with the purpose of stimulating the entrepreneurial development in the country. Based on the law, the numerous inspections that were previously held to control entrepreneurs are suspended for 2 years.
The law states that only tax audits and the inspections that reflect the fields of a serious threat to human life and health, the state's security and economic interests can be held. This list of such inspections will be defined by the relevant executive authority.
Inspections carried out in violation of this Law and the normative legal acts adopted on its basis have no legal effect. An entrepreneur may file a complaint from the inspections carried out in violation of the requirements of this Law to the relevant executive authority, prosecutor's office, and administrative or judicial authorities. The law enters into force from November 1st, 2015.
